New 'Pokémon' Smance Saves Breame: 'Legendary Pokemon Z-A' Sells Around 1.5 Million

Game Freak's new venture was a success both on the Switch 2 and, above all, on the first Switch, where it surpassed 870,000 copies in physical form.

According to data shared by Japanese magazine Famitsu, Pokémon Legends Z-A has sold nearly 1.5 million copies in Japan, counting only physical releases and not including Nintendo eShop sales.2017.

On the Nintendo Switch 2, it sold 612,905 units in physical form, although it's unclear whether copies included in recently launched bundles containing the console and Pokémon Z-A Legends are counted (which happens in the UK) as well as copies sold through the Nintendo Store (in the UK, these units are not included).The first-generation Switch sold 872,552 copies.The total is over 1.48 million.

The Switch and Switch 2 versions of Pokémon Z-A Legends are the only new features in the ranking of the top ten best-selling video games.The top is dominated by video games for Nintendo hybrid consoles, with the exception of two recently released PlayStation 5 titles: Ghost of Yotei and Battlefield 6.
